Mount Gravatt was one of the largest suburbs in Brisbane before it was divided into Upper Mount Gravatt, Mount Gravatt East and South Mount Gravatt (Wishart). However, many still refer to the area as just Mount Gravatt.
Mount Gravatt is primarily a residential area and is home to the Mount Gravatt Campus of Griffith University.
It’s main point of interest is the Mount Gravatt Lookout which provides great panorama of Brisbane city.
Mount Gravatt has a typical sub-tropical climate with wet summers and warm winters. These are ideal pest breeding conditions so residents tend to have a general pest treatment at least once a year to keep the pests at bay. With the large blocks, trees and surrounding bushland, termite activity is high so homeowners need an active termite management place to protect their houses from termite attack.
